If you keep up with real estate trends, no doubt you’ve heard about the bubble craze. Well, it’s coming to Chastain Walk!<\/p>\n
We’ve all seen the bubble guns and wands that kids play with. Well, think bigger, much bigger. Properties are now installing large, slender bubble cannons that can pivot on three axes to shower parts of the property with bubbles at will. On low power, imagine 4,000 golfball-sized bubbles a minute. It’s quite the show!<\/p>\n
Now, we know what you’re thinking: won’t these hurt our cars? No! These are specially formulated bubbles. They won’t harm our landscaping either.<\/p>\n
Last month, Kenneth, our neighbor and bubble enthusiast, donated a Mark IV Bubble Cannon to Chastain Walk. The kit came with a couple of wifi-enabled anemometers (wind gauges) and three hue-spotlights designed to light the bubbles for nighttime shows with a wide range of colors. We already have a triangle pattern mapped across three roofs for the area we want to cover, basically the entrance down the center drive to the pool area.<\/p>\n
If the wind isn’t too bad, we believe we’ll be able to drop bubbles the size of basketballs on the pool area at a rate of 20 a minute if we want. Wow! It will be a bit of a trick to get them over building 4, based on early wind readings, but we’re confident the Mark IV will deliver.<\/p>\n
When Ray Engineering checked the wind speeds we were getting next to Roswell Road caused by southbound traffic, we discovered a real installation problem for the canon itself: we needed a 10 foot easement on the “Now and Again” retail property to our north, so that we could position the cannon to deliver the type of bubble shower we planned for the entrance drive on Friday and Saturday evenings. I’m excited to say we received the signed easement today.<\/p>\n
