Parking lot to be resealed and re-striped this Thursday and Friday, October 22nd and 23rd
UPDATE (Tue 3:00 PM): Due to the forecast, the work tomorrow is canceled. We’re now looking ahead to next week.
UPDATE (Mon 5:10 PM): Weather permitting and assuming the asphalt is dry, the stripe vendor will be out Wednesday morning to complete the markings on the Day 1 side (the side that has already been sealed). Please move your cars from the Day 1 side by 8 AM on Wednesday.
So far, the weather does not look good enough to seal the Day 2 side this week.
I’ll post updates tomorrow if/when I learn more. Thanks for checking in for updates.
UPDATE (Fri 1:50 PM): All work is cancelled through the weekend and early next week. The work for today was ultimately cancelled after the crews arrived to blow the lot and found enough water and dampness in places that they could not proceed. If possible, they are aiming to get back on property after the rains expected early next week. Please check back here Monday evening for another update. Currently, they are aiming for Wednesday or Thursday next week. The saga continues… 🙂
Have you signed up for our email list yet? We only have 31 on the list so far. Look at the tab at the top “Email list”.
UPDATE (Thu 8:15 AM): Work is scheduled to resume tomorrow (Friday, Oct 30). All vehicles will need to be moved from the “Day 2” side of the lot by 8 AM. Please spread the word and continue to check back for updates. Thanks!
UPDATE (Tue 7:55 AM): No work Wednesday or Thursday this week.
UPDATE (Mon 3:15 PM): No parking lot work tomorrow (Tuesday 10/27). No need to move cars. Thanks for continuing to check back for updates.
UPDATE (Sun 12:45 PM): No parking lot work tomorrow (Monday 10/26). No need to move cars.
UPDATE (Sat 2:56 PM): Thanks for your cooperation and patience during this project. We’ll check with the vendor and Working Solutions on Sunday to confirm what work, if any, is scheduled for Monday. Based on the forecast, we don’t see how any work is done through Wednesday. Please continue to check here for updates. Thanks!
UPDATE (Fri 1:30 PM): The stripe company will be out this afternoon to do as much as possible with the goal opening most, if not all, of the closed side before they leave today. They may leave cones in places where more drying is needed, so please avoid any areas still marked off.
The Day 2 side currently scheduled for Monday may be pushed back if the current rain forecasts hold up.
UPDATE (Thu 8:15 PM): Unfortunately, the seal coat is not drying as fast as they hoped. The “Day 1” side will be closed again tomorrow. They believe they will be able to stripe it tomorrow.
This means the current open section, “Day 2”, won’t be done until Monday. There is no need to move any cars from this section in the morning.
Please continue to check back here for updates, and extra thanks for your patience!
UPDATE (Thu 5:30 PM): Still waiting to hear from the contractor who is supposed to have someone out in a bit to check the dryness of side 1. Sorry this is down to the wire and thanks for being patient and working with us. Please check back here before you go to bed.
UPDATE (Thu 3 PM): The paving company has said that they have noticed drying issues with recent projects. At this point, we don’t know when the other side of the lot will open and may not know until late today or even tomorrow. Please obey the presence of cones and allow their removal by the vendor to indicate that it is safe to park in the resealed area. We’ll also update this post as often as we get updates.
They may reopen part of the resealed area and keep cones in some places. Please do not park in an area marked off by cones. Day 2 may be pushed to another day. Please check back here for updates.
ORIGINAL POST:
Our parking lot will be resealed and re-striped this Thursday and Friday (Oct 22nd and 23 rd).
Please see the map below for the areas that will be done each day. All vehicles must be removed by 8:00 am each day from the affected areas or they will be towed. During this project, parking will be extremely limited. If at all possible, plan to park offsite on those nights. All parking spots will be open again sometime on Saturday.
Traffic flow will be disrupted and drives that normally have only one-way traffic will be used for coming & going. Use extraordinary caution and SLOW speeds when driving on the property during this time.
If you have any questions, please contact Working Solutions at 770-424-7749. Thank you for your cooperation & patience. Please check back here for updates during the project.
